Project Description:
Our Club works very closely with Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Hulu Langat (PKKI) to cater to the needs of the special children.
Located ta Taman Cuepacs, Cheras , Kuala Lumpur, PKKI is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation operating a Day Training Centre for children with the objective of helping children who are mentally and physically challenged due to hereditary, prenatal or post-natal and other complications.
Our relationship with the PKKI started from 1996 and since then many fund raising activities were carried out to upgrade the facilities at the Centre.

In 1997 a building fund was launched and by 2000 a sum of RM250,000 was raised jointly. A corner terrace house was later purchased and the Association moved in to the new premise on December 14 2003 when Lion Lee Yee Jiat was the Club President.

We continued to support the work of PKKI to cater to the welfare of the special children and their families with a charity screening of “The Incredible”, on November 7 2004 which raised RM23,000. In year 2004 the charity screening fund raising was initiated by President of the year Gina Kuek. 90 children are benefited over the years .

In 2006 our Club also presented PKKI a newly refurbished 12 seater van, a mechanical grass cutter and an assortment of children’s story books.

In 2013-2014 under presidency of Lion Francis Tan a series of activities were carried out and a sum of RM50,000 was raised for a new Building Fund.

Besides the above our Club is also active in sponsoring goodies, prizes and other financial support in Sports Day and Children Day celebration.

Generally more than half of the club members are involved in this activity and members with passion and genuine concern for the welfare of these children are keys to the sustainability of the project.
