Objective : To serve the needy of the community and society towards the ” Lions caring and sharing ”
Awareness which slogans of LCI ” WE SERVE ” to community.
Here with the centre / bengkel to (Majlis Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons/OKU). This centre provides shelter to the homeless for orphans, old folks people’s handicap peoples. They are trained with skills wooden handicrafts to self income earner with really low wages income, almost 20 years no other NGO visiting of this centre, incoming future our club will take it as a long term project for this centre.

With the high cost and life living nowdays, this centre is not easy to maintaining, the club will continue to look forward additional constibution for long term sustainablity from all over local, nation and others society to try maintain of this needy person.

Project Name : Feed the Hunger
Project Description :
The objective of this project was to show the residents of this center that we ‘Lions’ care and also to raise awareness to other clubs of the service this centre provides to the community.This center provides shelter to the homeless from the streets of Klang, orphans and children from neglected homes, single mothers,old folks and terminally ill children abandoned by their immediate families.Project initiated on 22/7/16 and it has been proposed that we will carry out this project 3 times per year. A total of 6 members took part as it was a week day and the total man hours spent on this activity was 18 hours. A total of about 160 people, adults and children benefitted from this project and totally funded by members and their families . Total contribution was around RM1600 which paid for the lunch and the goodie bags and its contents.

With the current economic climate this center is having difficulty in maintaining the current service it is providing to its occupants. Finding food to feed the resident of this home is becoming difficult with many sponsors backing out in view of the bad economic situation.We need to intervene and provide whatever assistance that can be provided to them .

Project Name : Feed The Hunger
Project Description : This project was initiated by Lion Danny Liew and Lion Esther right after our club was chartered. This idea was brought up with the intention to eliminate hunger and poverty through the financial support from generous individuals who are willing to contribute. The project will be carried out at Community Center, Jalan Pudu Baharu on the 3rd Friday of each month and the food distribution will start on 7.00pm. A total of 100 packed foods will be served to the needy on that day.

1. Objective : The objective of this project is to provide a proper and healthy meal to the needy such as old folks, unemployed individual and handicaps from the nearby area with the hope that it will reduce their burden and also to reduce social problem that may arise due to hunger and poverty.
2. Started : 16th September 2016
3. Members : Five members for each session
4. Benefited : Approximately 200 persons for the last 2 months
5. Man hour : 2 hours per month
6. Frequency : Once a month
7. Fund: RM 3,600 per year (RM300 per session x 12 months)
8. Why and how : The club receives full supports from all the members. On top of that, we have secured sufficient funds to sustain the project for the FY16/17. The club will continue to look for additional contribution for long term sustainability and to increase the frequency of this project in the near future.

Project Description :
Feed The Hunger Project is part of Lions Club International Centennial Service Challenge Campaigns. We aim to serve 4000 pack of hot meals by June 2017.

After a few months of hard work, Lions Club of Johor Jaya Feed The Hunger Project is now a well established platform for the local NGOs, corporates and individuals to get closer with the local homeless and needy community. Our aim is to be inclusive, transparent and efficient in sourcing sponsors and distribution. Besides hot meals, we are also distributing other essential items such as toiletries, kain pelikat and pre-loved clothing.

Operating cost is roughly RM1,500 per event.

1. Objective of the Signature Project
FTHP Feed The Hunger Project is a community event to reach out to the needy in Johor Bahru area. The main objectives of this project are:
1. to create public awareness on the underprivileged community around us
2. to coordinate, manage and distribute extra resources from public sponsors
3. to educate and instill self-confident among our recipients
4. to treat everyone as our family

We are trying to be transparent and efficient in receiving donation either by cash or kinds. We do not keep extra money or goods in our club, all funds and foods received will be fully distributed by the Friday night itself. Sometimes, we do ask for postponement of goods sponsor to eliminate wastage when there are too many sponsors getting involved.
