Importance of Blood Donation Project
Because the need for blood is constant, so is the need for donations. Every day, all the hospitals and clinics in need blood and blood components to treat patients, since most surgical interventions and a great number of medical procedures require blood transfusions.

1. Objective of the Signature Project
The build wider public awareness of the need for regular blood donation throughout the year in order to maintain an adequate supply of blood for all patients requiring transfusion and to encourage a culture of blood donation among the local community by:

a) Encouraging existing low-risk voluntary donors to give blood regularly.
b) Encouraging new people to donate their blood on a voluntary unpaid basis.
c) Promoting low-risk behaviour so that individuals protect their own health as well as being safe to donate blood.

Blood donation is one of the most significant contribution that a person can make towards the society. It is not harmful for an adult person to donate blood. The body of the donor can regenerate the blood within few days. It poses no threat to the metabolism of the body.

Lions Club of Muar Mahaledang undertake to organize blood donation campaign annually on different occasions and make it as one of the club’s annual signature project in supporting our blood banks whenever are running short of required blood. By organizing such blood donation campaign we are able help them to enrich their capacity.

Diabetes and Vision Loss:
People with diabetes are at risk of losing sight due to diabetes eye disease. It is the leading cause of new-onset blindness in many countries. Diabetes can lead to other possible complications, including heart attack, stroke, kidney failure, leg amputation, and nerve damage. In pregnancy, poorly controlled diabetes increases the risk of fetal death and other complications. World Walk To Stop Diabetes is the annual signature event organised by Lions Club of Mentakab since year 2012 in conjunction of Lions World Diabetes Day, an annual campaign led by the International Diabetes Federation on November 14 with the purpose of Raising Diabetes Awareness and Preserving Sight.

Project Description :
SJK (T) Ladang Sg. Baru is a small-sized schools primary school in rural areas located in remoteness area of Masjid Tanah, Melaka with poor construction quality and lacking of school facilities. They are in urgent need of constructing, rebuilding and expanding the teaching and living facilities including classroom buildings, canteen, library & etc.

Lions Club of Melaka Ayer Keroh took up the challenge to build two classrooms and one canteen for the school with total cost involved of RM180,000 in year 1999. The project were jointly supported financially by Lions Club of Yoro Japan (USD10,000), Lions Club International Foundation, LCIF (USD10,000) and remaining are donation from club members and public.

To improve the infrastructure for rural education in rural area. Students will be able to leave dangerous and study in a safe, spacious and bright campus instead. It will help improve their mental and physical health as well as academic performances.

This is the annual signature community service event for Lions and family members at Lions Club of Hang Tuah Jaya work together to help care for our senior population ever since the club had been chartered in 2011. Cultural events were performed by lions which included singing and dancing to cheer up the elderly. Essential items such as rice, crackers, adult’s diapers, Milo, oats, mugs and old clothes were raised and donated to the old folks homes.

Here with the centre / bengkel to (Majlis Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons/OKU). This centre provides shelter to the homeless for orphans, old folks people’s handicap peoples. They are trained with skills wooden handicrafts to self income earner with really low wages income, almost 20 years no other NGO visiting of this centre, incoming future our club will take it as a long term project for this centre.
